Finally, 4 Mbps Streamyx is available at my place. I requested to upgrade early this year but no luck. I was still using RM 88 Streamyx 1 Mbps package then. Then I saw TM Blockbuster Deal which is a very interesting package for those who are still using the old separated voice and broadband plan like me. This combo package is a lot cheaper than my existing one. And you can have free call to all TM fixed line nationwide. Furthermore, you can get WiFi modem and cordless phone for free too. Isn’t that great? (Note – minimum 12 months subscription period is required. Not an issue to me at all)
Err… I got a faulty Innacomm W3400V WiFi Modem. Below are the Wi-Fi issues that I face for the past 1 week.
- Cannot ping to other PC IP.
- File sharing between iPad and PC are not working.
- Slow Internet connection @ 1.3 Mbps only on 4 Mbps package.
- High ping latency @ 200 ms
I keep complaint to TM 100 support that I was not getting 4 Mbps connection. Called TM appointed installer on this issue too. Chatted with 2nd level support personnel. At the end, I got these facts…
- Your first 2 weeks support ~ TM appointed installer. Ask him anything during this time.
- Streamyx speed upgrade needs to take 3-7 days after new billing activated (based on installer and 1st level support).
- However, based on 2nd level support, it only needs to take 24 hours to upgrade Streamyx speed actually.
- You can enjoy free TM fixed line call on next bill date after new Streamyx package is activated.
If you are getting the same Innacomm W3400V WiFi Modem issues, you probably got a faulty modem like I did. No worry, just ask TM appointed installer to change a new modem for you. I got a working D-Link DSL-2640B WiFi Modem at the end.

I had almost the same issues. But I am a bit ‘lucky’ though, my disconnection rate is super high especially at the evening – 6PM to 1AM. Could be as high as 60 times withn the period. Somemore, hard to re-establish the connections. Knwoing is the modem problem cos I have very minimum issues with my very old DLink ADSL modem (no WiFi). Now change to TP-Link, bought it on my own. Superb connection and stablity. WiFi range is significantly wider. Didn’t aware that I can get the replacement from Telekom. May be I should call them and make complaint again to get a replacement.
Have you tweak the settings in the Innacomm to match your iPad.
Tried almost every settings on that modem. Still not working. My other modems are working fine.
I have same problem previously, but it had been resolved after update the software, hope it can help you as well.

Hmm… Then it is not my unit that is faulty. It should be a known wireless issue on Innacomm W3400V.
I guess it may not the wireless issue but the MTU value.
If the MTU value is set too high the packet will be long, so the speedtest server respond will take longer time but it will just impact the testing result but not impact the speed while using, try to reduce the value from 1500 to 1400 and it work well for me.
I got similar slow down on Innacomm W3400V, but I know it is the router’s fault because when I use ‘Bridging’ instead of ‘PPP over Ethernet (PPOE)’ the slow down disappear.
The WAN service for the router is slow and unreliable and always disconnect, but transfering this task to the PC result in extreme performance gain (DSL dailer software CD is included with the router).
Innacomm is cheap, but not as convenient…

Just turn on Wi-Fi on your SGS2. Then connect to your Wi-Fi router. Why need to set DNS?
can connect..but just wan to bypass the block website..i tried opendns in the settin but wont works..still cant bypass..

ive tried using opendns for dns 1 and dns 2 in advanced wifi settin on sgs2..but still cannot bypass i mean in sgs2 browser..so is there any additional things i should put in the sgs2 wifi setting?
The easiest way – set it at your Streamyx Wi-Fi router. Why bother to set it at SGS2?
i use 4mb pakage too, to not have any problem yet..
