Set Devil May Cry 4 screen resolution at 1440×900, 1680×1050, 1920×1200, 2560×1600

Do you run Devil May Cry 4 at 1280×1024 resolution? And you cannot set the resolution higher than 1280×1024. I want to run Devil May Cry 4 at resolutions like 1440×900, 1680×1050, 1920×1200, 2560×1600. However, the PC Settings in Devil May Cry 4 do not allow me to do so. I am using 22″ Samsung T220 LCD monitor which have 1680×1050 native resolution. All 3D games like Devil May Cry 4 run best in native resolution. What should I do?

There is a simple way to enable resolution higher than 1280×1024. Just change Display Frequency to 59 Hz. By doing so, you can select resolutions like 1440×900, 1680×1050, 1920×1200, 2560×1600. Too bad that I already finished Devil May Cry 4 before I discovered this method to enable higher resolution. I played Devil May Cry 4 at 1280×800 resolution only.

  2. hi! how can i change the resolution lower? in the pc settings, there are only to options 1280×800 & 1280×720. i cant even change the frequency to 59, it says that it cant be change in mid game. but i have not started playing yet.. please help. thanks

  3. As crazy as it sounds, I had the same monitor and Windows 7 identified the monitor as 59 Hz thus why you had to change it to 59 Hz in DMC Setting to get your native resolution 1680×1050. I do not think this applies to everyone, if the monitor is detected as 60 Hz by Windows.

  4. I hav accidentally changed my resolution settings and now it shows not supported but i can hear the sound and everything. pls give me step by step instruction (keep in mind tht i cant see anything) on how i can change it back either ingame or without entering the game
