I love to use Opera Mobile on my HTC HD2. However, it does not support Adobe Flash. I have to use Internet Explorer in order to view Flash content. But I don’t like Internet Explorer because it does not support pinch and zoom like Opera Mobile does. Luckily, I found a solution to install Flash to Opera Mobile 9.7 (Didn’t try on 9.5 or 10 beta yet) on Windows Mobile 6.5.
The fixOperaFlash version that I am using is v188.8.131.52. The installation was not as smooth as I expected on my HTC HD2. After went through a few rounds of the steps here and there. I managed to install it at the end. fixOperaFlash v184.108.40.206 works with Windows Mobile 5.0 / 6.0 / 6.1 / 6.5 / 6.5.x and .NET Compact Framework 2.x / v3.5. By the way, you need a fast processor like 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to run Flash content on your mobile phone. And I am still waiting for Adobe Flash 10.1 which “Designed for Mobility” to come out. Saw some demos on Toshiba TG01 (Windows Mobile), Google Nexus One and Motorola Droid (Android), they look great with Snapdragon processor. For the mean time, use the link before to add Flash to your Opera Mobile.
Download fixOperaFlash v220.127.116.11 here.
ur blog is really getting more n more popular 🙂 well done n keep up the good work!!
How do you know that my blog is getting more popular? 😕
I guess it show a good page rank and Yahoo site explorer 🙂
Since you are using HTC, what do you think… which is better according to your opinion… iphone, blackberry storm or HTC (your type of htc)?
I’m still considering ….but dont know which one…
I selected HTC HD2 due to its big screen. It is great to surf Internet with it. iPhone and Blackberry screen size cannot compete with HTC HD2. 😛
But they have other advantages over HTC HD2. Choose the one that suite you.
Oh ok, noted.
BEsides the big screen, is there any other significant advantage of the HTC HD2 if compare with blackberry and iphone…? hope to receive feedback from you
You can find more info at http://www.gsmarena.com (one of my favorite mobile sites). 🙂
Great. Flash is officially available on everything except where I want it most…on my iPhone!
Heard Nexus One got 1Gb processor. This year will be mobiles computing year 😉
More coming out by end of the year 2010 like Nvidia Tegra 2, Intel Moorestown and Qualcomm next gen Snapdragon. Don’t know which one will HTC HD3 use… 😉
If you don’t mind to tell me, what kind of pluggin you use in order to write multilingual post ?
My blog won’t show Chinese character (it show ??) when I post in Chinese.
You need to have define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’) in wp-config.php. Then, your blog will be multilingual supported.
Thanks a lot man. I’ll try it later.
You are welcome. 🙂
Hey, I was reading this post and i’m having the same problem of not being able to get the chinese characters to show on my phone. Where do I access wp-config.php??
Thanks in advance =]

Sorry to hear that. Hard reset seems like the only way to solve it.
I’m trying to install the fixOperaFlash on my phone, but it is giving me error messages. I’m having a hard time installing it. Any pointers?
Hi Caitlyn, why not try the latest Opera 10 with Flash Lite built-in support?
can use this with the default opera browser?
It works on Opera 9.5 and 9.7. Or you can try Opera 10 instead. 😉
