CyanogenMod is one of my favorite mod. It is a customized, aftermarket firmware distribution for several Android devices. But not for HTC HD2 officially yet (but coming soon). So HTC HD2 is still using HTC Desire build. Just in case that you might don’t know, CyanogenMod has these wonderful features ~ Lockscreen Gestures, Phone Goggles, OpenVPN, Incognito Mode, Themes Support and DSP Equalizer. Thanks to XDA Developer, tyween for bringing all these goodies to us. TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 RC2+ is based on latest Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread and using tytung R7 Kernel.
HTC HD2 is a great phone. You can run stock Windows Mobile 6.5 on it. Err… WinMo 6.5 is a little bit outdated. No worry, you can install custom ROMs like Android and Windows Phone 7. Personally, I don’t recommend WP7 unless you need to use a killer app only build for it (but I doubt that). So Android OS is the one that you should get. And here are the latest and greatest Android ROM based on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread that you should try.
Yeah… CyanogenMod 7 RC4 was released. And it will be the last RC before final version come out. Can’t wait for that. As usual, it is based on the latest Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread and using Tytung r8.3 Kernel. Latest version should better, right? Let’s find out…
Using CyanogenMod7 build and running low internal storage space? S2E (simple2ext) is here to rescue you (I mean your phone internal storage). Basically, S2E is app2sd for CyanogenMod7. There are 4 parts that you can move to SD card ~ applications, private apps, Dalvik cache and download cache. Select anyone of them that you want to move to sd-ext partition at SD card. I tested it on TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 NAND Android RAM Zip ROM for HTC HD2. And turned out successfully.
DarkStone SuperRAM is very famous on SD card Android. It is super fast as it loads whole Android system files into RAM compare to other normal builds which store at SD card. But SuperRAM on NAND Android build? Will that increase the loading speed? Let’s find out with TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 NAND Android RAM build. It is based on latest Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread and using Rafpigna v1.7 OC Kernel. By the way, A2SD+ was removed from base package since version 2. So you have to install optional add-on to enable A2SD+ function.
