Performance on Samsung Galaxy S4

64GB Samsung microSDXC Pro UHS-1 Card manages to get 75.74 MB/s reading and 20.40 MB/s writing in sequentially on CrystalDiskMark disk benchmark software. No surprise here as it have extra 5 MB/s reading speed of official specifications and same writing speed. However, random reading and writing speeds do look good here.

Err… Samsung Galaxy S4 micro SD card slot is not UHS-I enabled. So 64GB Samsung microSDXC Pro UHS-1 Card performance is lower on Galaxy S4 because can’t use UHS-I feature. Only get 36.6 MB/s sequential reading speed and 16.5 MB/s sequential write speed.

  1. Can i use your(this) url to post in an FB Group ? Thanks! Will hold my posting until i get your response.

  2. Maybe you should just add this important detail about the Galaxy S4 so many writers are neglecting to mention. It’s not Samsung’s fault that Google saw fit to disable UHS-1 support in Android Jelly Bean, but they made it so you can no longer transfer Apps to the SD slot memory too. It’s been a major sticking point between the two partners and isn’t over yet.

Effectively Google is attempting to stop the use of Samsung’s customers to have the ability to purchase and utilize Samsung’s Ultra High Speed Class 1 memory on their Android OS Phones. It’s why on launch of Galaxy S4, Samsung gave no love for Google and touted their own software prowess instead.

Leaving Samsung to now instead build support into it’s own Tizen OS Smartphones for everything Google is trying to keep them from doing on Android. This is going to be a huge mistake for Google if it continues. Because we have a so called Open Source Google Android being pitted against a supposed Proprietary company working to develop a True Open Source Linux derived OS, that in the future will threaten both Android and Apple Garden Walled Prison Farm iOS!!!
