I finally finished setup PC for my brother. This is a mid range computer specification. Below are the all the parts I get for him for around RM3500 RM3300.

• CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
• Motherboard - Gigabyte 965P-S3
• Memory - 1GB Corsair ValueSelect PC667 DDR2
• Monitor - LG L194WT LCD
• Display card - Gecube Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB
• HDD - Hitachi 160GB 8M 7200RPM
• DVD-RW - LiteOn 18X DVD writer
• Casing - Cooler Master Elite 330
• PSU - Cooler Master eXtreme Power 550W
• Keyboard - Logitech Clasic Keyboard

This is the first time that I face lot of problems and issues during setup PC in my whole life. I cut my finger. Cannot overclock it with FSB333. I locked memory multiplier at 2 == 667mhz so I do not overclock my memory. But still failed even increase CPU voltage to 1.375 and 1.400. I still cannot find out where goes wrong with the setting. He… He… I did not overclock PC since 8 years ago. (My last PC was P-II 350 CPU back then. I turned to use laptop since university. Therefore, I got no chance to play with it lately) I need more time to study what went wrong. Anyway, my brother do not want to overclock his PC. As long as it can run, he is fine.

I cut my finger last night during setup my brother PC. I was cut by sharp edge of Cooler Master casing when I try to remove front panel to install DVD writer. The Cooler Master Elite 330 casing internal design is bad and dangerous with all the sharp edges around. Besides, they did not include steps to remove front panel in the manual. I am not sure which sharp edges cut me but definitely one of them. Therefore, be careful when trying to remove the front panel.

This is a tough question… It is mainly for pocket money. Yeah!!! That will be most of the people answer. I admit that I fall into this category too. However, it is not for money only. With this website, I can actually gain my knowledge more about Internet world. I can learn not only C# and MS SQL which I use in company but CSS, PHP and MySQL too. Nevertheless, I also learn Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in order to make this website popular. There are a lot of thing we can learn if we are willing to do so.

Learning is important. We need to learn everyday else we sure will be outdated. There are lot lot lot of knowledge flying around us. It is just the matter we want to grab them or not. I am pursuing it right now, do you???

Did not sleep well last night. Nose was blocked. I went to see doctor last week. Finished the medicine already but condition still the same. Therefore, I decided to work from home today. I went to see doctor again this morning after I cannot stand the annoying blocking nose feeling. Doctor gave me another 10 days medicine. And will give me guaranty letter to see specialist after that. Finally, I can consult someone speciallised on it.

Did I mention that I work from home? Can your company allow you to work at home? He… He… This is one of the Intel Values - Great Place to Work. For some cases, we are allowed to work from home as long as we can accomplish our tasks.
I being working with ORT6 lately. Doing some enhancements on it although it still not fully functional yet. Why? This is a web application developed by some US guy but left to other department. Some intern (also left after finished 6 months internship) took over to do enhancement from version 5 to 6. Guest what? They did not verify correctly before deployment. I faced a lot of problems during deployment due to incomplete installation guide. Other users and I also faced lot of issue when using it. After scanning through the source code, I found out that the intern did not implement some of the new functions. The spec stated there but nothing in the real world. And US guy who hired that intern did not want to admit his fault. And I am the guy that have to eat those ’shit’!!!

I need to add a FastTrack feature in ORT6. I faced lot of problems due to I am not so familiar with VB code. Yes. ORT6 is written in VB. I am C# writer not VB. It took me some valuable time to find a simple stuff. In addition, I am changing source code that been changed by more than 3 people. Everyone have their own way of coding. It make me even hard to understand… Luckily, I managed to finish today part at home…

I brought Intel E6300 at discounted price last month. I meantion it on my last few post. It shiped from US to Malaysia within 1 week. It was fast. However, the other part that I ordered in Penang weren’t here yet after 1 month of ordering… Pity… I got motherboard and DVD-RW drive on thursday while display card and casing on Saturday. I go for Gecube X1950Pro 256MB instead of HIS X1950Pro IceQ3 Turbo due availablity issue. Hmm… Sad… I hate that my schedule is keep pushing out. I planned to setup this PC last week. Then, I can play Command & Conquer 3 already. However, I still far far away from it now. I got only less than 2 weeks time to play with this PC until my brother get it back. Therefore, I need to rush for it. No matter what!!!
