Package Content & Design
Once opened the package, you can find Imperion Dragon Breath S600 and CD driver there. Dragon Breath S600 build quality is great. A comfortable mouse that suitable for both hand. Of course, you can’t access thumb buttons on left handed mode.

Dragon Breath S600 is loaded with Avago 3050 sensor with in-built 64KB memory MCU and OMRON switches. Ergonomic shape is suitable for all type of grips including fingertip, palm and claw grips. There are LED lights scroll wheel, DPI buttons, logo and both sides of the mouse. At the bottom, you can find the optical sensor and 2 large glide pads. Finally, the cable is braided with anti-interference magnet ring with gold plated plug. Do have a closer look on the shape of this wired gaming mouse with pictures below.

Software
Dragon Breath S600 is plug and play supported. You can use it directly without any driver installation. Or you can unlock more features with the bundled software driver. And all the configuration will be stored in mouse built-in 64KB memory MCU. All 7 buttons are configurable with functions like Windows and multimedia shortcuts. 5 sets of DPI – 500, 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 DPI for you to select. Hmm… No other smaller value can be set. Finally, there are 5 profiles for you to play with – setting1 to setting5.

You can set LED light colour based on RGB settings. Report rate from 125Hz to 1000Hz. Macro keys can be set in Macro manager, Advanced config. Cursor speed, vertical scrolling and double clicking speed can be set there as well.

Performance Result
Dragon Breath S600 optical performance is smooth and accurate thanks to Avago A3050 Chipset. Surfaces with slightly shinny and reflective ones are working fine here. I don’t need to have much learning curve with S600 even though the optical sensor is slightly at bottom center. As for ergonomic, it is fairly well I must say. Nice especially for fingertip grip. Buttons are responsive and feedback is good too thanks to OMRON switches. It has one same weakness like S400 – high mouse lift off distance. In this case, you need to lift the mouse higher than usual to lose the tracking. As I mentioned, not a deal breaker once you get used it…

Advantages

  • Decent optical performance
  • Great ergonomic for comfortable grip
  • Built-in 64KB memory MCU
  • LED light based on DPI
  • Customizable keys
  • Stylish design

Limitations

  • High mouse lift off distance
  • Fixed DPI levels

Conclusion
Imperion Dragon Breath S600 is a colourful RGB gaming mouse with precise and smooth optical sensor. Buttons are responsive and scroll wheel performs well on both gaming and Internet browsing. And loaded with useful LED lighting that changed based DPI value. Please visit Nobel It Facebook for more information.
