Kindle Fire in the house

Oh, no. I am on Fire! Hehe… I just got myself a Kindle Fire from Amazon. Not getting it from Amazon US directly since I want to have Kindle Fire as soon as possible (don’t want to wait for another 2 weeks shipping time). Therefore, I bought it from Lowyat Forum Malaysia locally. Kindle Fire will keep me busy for months because I got lot of stuffs to learn again. Hmm… I planned to get Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Asus Transformer Prime. But both of them are still not available in Malaysia. Have to wait until early next year. So I got a budget Android tablet ~ Kindle Fire instead…

Photo sharing on larger screen with Android vscreens

Want to show your photos to friends and families on larger screen like TV or PC monitor? The easiest way is using DLNA feature. Or you can try out Sony Ericsson vscreens. It supports Android platform only for the moment. iPhone and iPad versions are coming soon. Basically, you need to open http://vscreens.com in a browser on your larger screen (smart TV or PC monitor). Then pick the picture from Android vscreens application. It will display the picture on the bigger screen. Since it is still in beta stage, only photo can be shared. By the way, Internet connection is required on both devices.

How to disable built-in system app on HTC One X?

I believe that everyone hate bloatware on their smartphone. Luckily, HTC One X does not bundle much bloatware. It has only 1 application that I won’t use ~ 7digital. How to remove this built-in system application on HTC One X? Well, we can’t remove it totally. But we can disable it so that it won’t show up in app drawer. And disable it from running as system service or process which eat up precious memory RAM. Yes, this is part of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich feature and luckily HTC does not disable this feature on HTC One X. No root access is required to disable built-in system application from now on.
