Yeah… Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread is available on HTC HD2 now. Thanks to XDA Developer, Tytung. It is actually a mixed of Nexus One 2.3.6 OTA (Android 2.3.6 GRK39F) and Google’s AOSP Nexus One 2.3.5 (Android 2.3.5 GRJ90). This build is using tytung_r12 kernel with mic gain support. Has latest Android Market v3.1.5 and SuperUser v3.0 too.

Yeah… The latest Android 2.3.5 (GRJ90) Gingerbread is available on HTC HD2. What are Android 2.3.5 features? You tell me. Anyway, I am looking forward for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (a combination of Gingerbread and Honeycomb) which should be available on Q4 2011. Finally, XDA Developer, Tytung updated his NexusHD2 build to Android 2.3.5 (GRJ90). As usual, it is based on Google’s AOSP stock Gingerbread for Nexus One. And using his latest GPS Libraries v1.9. Besides, he also added new Android Market 3.0.27, Gmail 2.3.5 and Google Maps 5.8.0.

Google Talk with video and voice chats is the major update on Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 (GRJ22). However, HTC HD2 without front facing camera is limited to voice chats only. Anyway, that does not stop us from upgrading to the latest Android build. Besides, this build is using latest Tytung R10 kernel which support T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling.
