Finally, XDA Developer, Tytung updated his NexusHD2 build to Android 2.3.5 (GRJ90). As usual, it is based on Google’s AOSP stock Gingerbread for Nexus One. And using his latest GPS Libraries v1.9. Besides, he also added new Android Market 3.0.27, Gmail 2.3.5 and Google Maps 5.8.0.

Hmm… The I/O and 2D speed do not increase in Android 2.3.5. Might be CyanogenMod 7 team had done something to it.
Installation guide ~ How to Install CWM NAND Android on HTC HD2? (Video)
Download NexusHD2-Gingerbread v2.9 [Kernel: Tytung r10] NAND ROM here.
haiii 🙂
to install this i have to use HSPL4 (using 2.08-SPL), MAGLDR113, Recovery_v1.3_400M (i have EU 512), and copy the zip file to SD card root thats all?
and follow your instructions on “How to Install NAND Android on HTC HD2 with ClockworkMod Recovery? (Video)”
right? 😛
Yes, but you should use 150M recovery since this ROM does not need 400M.
oh cool, thank you. i’ll write if its sucess 😀
gyáááááá :DDD
thank you sooo much for everything. its working successfull DONE 😀 😀
cyaaaa 😀
hey is this run in internal? can remove sd card? sorry for bothering :))
uhm i guess i have 1 small problem. how can i install programs using USB cable?
problem solved with SDK
sorry for pointless post 🙂
Glad to know that it was solved. 😉
haii 😀
sorry but i didnt find any topic/thread that is really fit to my question.
later if i want to change this Android ROM (NexusHD2 Android 2.3.5 GRJ90 NAND Zip ROM) to a newer Android ROM or other one, which step do i start?
https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/15/how-to-install-cwm-nand-android-on-htc-hd2-video/ Skip those steps that you already done.
oh nice, so basically the only thing that i can do is to copy the new ROM zip file to the SD card and continue the steps that is under the video 1-2-3-4-5-… 18
right? 🙂
Yes, just repeat those steps to try other Android ROM. 😀
thanks for fast awnser 🙂
can you offer me another great Android ROM? anything that i can install with these steps.
https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/02/top-android-2-3-5-gingerbread-nand-android-rom-for-htc-hd2/
pfff the 150MB recovery for this ROM isnt enough thats why i wanted to use higher.
now im almost out of space. the only way to use higher is to reflash the phone with highest recovery? >.<
i mean enough for the rom but not enough to install and test the applications.
No, using bigger CWM partition actually reduce the usable internal storage space. You need to create EXT3 partition on SD card. And use A2SD+ supported Android ROM to solve low internal storage space issue.
good to know 🙂
but there are some files that the programs created like MAGDRL and CWM.
the phone still can boot if i format the SD card? i mean i just copied these files to SD root initrd/zImage while i was installing the CWM.
Are you following the latest guide? initrd.gz and zImage files are not longer needed.
sure i did, ROM is working perfectly (camera stucks only sometimes).
but i didnt read anything about i can delete the files from the SD card. yeah i know its boot up from the phone cuz its NAND but still.. 🙂
i just want to be sure everything I do, thats why i asking 😀
zzz ive just check the installed apps and i used CWM 1.2 to install this ROM not 1.3. zomg… Apps2SD+ support only 1.3 so with the “how to install CWM” guide I can update the old 1.2 to 1.3 without problems?
A2SD+ does support on CWM v1.2 as long as you create EXT3 partition on your SD card. Yes, just follow the guide to install CWM v1.3.
Some files are created during Android ROM installation. And certain files are created by applications that you use. You still can boot but might loss those apps data.
hm. so if im gona install this 1.3 (150MB) with the guide, it will be restore the ROM back to the original (like the first start) and erase the SD also back to the original point. so it means only that data will be gone that i installed/copied myself.
Nope, everything on your phone will be deleted when you install new CWM. And data at SD card is still intact until you repartition EXT3 again.
epic, now im totally confused 😀
“everything on your phone will be deleted” means the ROM will be deleted also?
Yes dear…
🙁
sooo i have 2.08-SPL, MAGLDR 1.13 and now i have update the CWM to 1.3.
after this i have to copy the ROM zip to the SD card and when its finished installing, i can partition the SD card to ext3 using CWM. after this i have to copy the App2SD+ to the SD card and install it with MAGLDR.
right? 😛
Create EXT3 partition first. Then install Android ROM. Follow the flow in the guide…
and i can do this with CWM 1.2 also?
i selected “AD Recovery” it says “no boot sources” o.o
kk created by using “Boot AD SD” 🙂
now have to update the CWM and then install the rom. – ?
i seriously suck with this. now i cant run USB Flash cuz windows have problem to install the usb driver. but WMDC cant be installed its dont see the phone cuz i have android rom on it.
what now? o.O
ext3 created, cwm 1.3 installed, rom reinstalled, ap2sd installed, everything working 😛
uhm now how this ap2sd thing is working? i have installed it, it show successfully installed. what i have to see? i dont have any new icons and i cant move the apps to SD card.
Use DiskUsage to check. Your sd-ext should have data inside if A2SD+ is working. https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/04/30/diskusage-check-android-phone-storage-space-usage/
everytime I receive pictures it says it can’t download them because of picture size and media resolution ….please help me out I’m suffering
Sorry, I don’t use MMS much. So can’t help much. Maybe you can try other Android ROM see.
how do I change the mms size settings
can i install again ? i have this android
Yes, why not?
the same procedure to apply?
Yup…
I worked installation a month ago and now I want install again where to start? I have all the steps of HSPL4 onwards or not?
Sorry for my english
I do not know english well
To work ALL steps again or not?????
Who step must install again 😀 ?
… now i have NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V3.1a_NAND_(Android-2.3.6).zip
and must install him !! 😀

Skip those components that you already have. Install the rest that you don’t have.
hello jayce ,
i have the typhoon cm7 but i wan this rom wat steps should i do???
https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/15/how-to-install-cwm-nand-android-on-htc-hd2-video/
Hi jaycie,
Currently i have android 2.3.4 gingebread nexus htc hd2 NAND rom installed, facing few issues with wifi connecting automatically. Need to use 3rd party app like wefi to connect. So may i please ask you where can i find latest Nexus HD2 gingerbread NAND rom to update…I dont want to do SD card installation.
XDA (link in the post)
hi jayce, thanks for reply but link talks about Sd card installation . Whereas I am looking for nand Rom installation. Sorry if I missed the link.
Which link did you go? The XDA (link in the post) is NAND build.
Hi Jayce,
The link at top of this page : http://www.multiupload.com/H27MQUDUSD and the tutorial link https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/15/how-to-install-cwm-nand-android-on-htc-hd2-video/ talks about SD card way of installation. I am looking for NAND android, dont want to install on SD card .
This is the latest NAND CWM Android installation. It does not install on SD card but on NAND memory. It will install from SD card.
The one you want is old NAND Android without SD card method – https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/01/03/top-5-nand-android-roms-for-htc-hd2/ Old old ROMs…
Oh thank you for explaining me in detail . Which is more stable and fast ? I am planning to install NexusHD2 Android 2.3.5 GRJ90 , do all functionality and app work on it ?
Also one more last question : can i do a upgrade from existing 2.3.4 to new version ? or do i need to do clean installation ?
The reason i want to upgrade is wifi issues, not able to connect smoothly using inbuilt wizard. Need to use 3rd party app like wefi.
Sorry, I don’t have the details. You need to test them yourself. 😉
Yes, prefer clean installation.
thanks again, once tested will update the post without miss.
i have installed NexusHD2 Android 2.3.5 GRJ90 but there is not new android market,,there is old one,,,is there anything wrong in my installation??

Hey jayce dude i also got the same error as irene i got the rom by xda but there is also a file named ” cLK_ppp_tytung_r13_update.zip” wat to do with dat?
Thnx in Advance
srry jayce that was for installation through some other method…
you are the guy man!!
Congratulations for your wedding
hey jayce thnx for such a worderful guide.
I am facing a problem with this rom
there is no my files in the menu due to which i am not able to share my files through bluetooth.
I would be glad if you help me out with this one.
Thnx
Huh? How do you share when there is no file?
I mean in android phones you need to find the file you want to share in my files folder and it is not present in the menu.
but the my files is not present in this rom’s menu
I don’t have My Files folder on my Android devices. But I still can share file with Bluetooth. You might want to consult ROM chef at XDA website.
How do you share music files through bluetooth? Please tell me…
Hold on the file until Operations menu pop up. Then select Share. Finally, select Bluetooth.
Ok thnx…hey is there a completely working ice cream sandwich rom for htc hd2?
No 100% perfect working ICS ROM yet as for as I know.
Oh…1 more question for you….is there any way to move from 2.3.7 to 2.3.5?
Yes Aziz.
Hi,
can u give the new link for NexusHD2-Gingerbread v2.9 [Kernel: Tytung r10] NAND ROM. The link is dead…tq.
Hafiz
Hi hafiz, try to find it at XDA website. If still cannot find, try other Android ROM.
Jayce dude when i hold on the file a menu appears but there is no share option in it….there are only these options:
1. Play
2.Add To Playlist
3.Use as phone ringtone
4.Delete
5.Search
Now… what should i do?? should i try another rom?
Thnx
Yes, you should.
hey jayce another thing….as seen in the screenshot the android version should appear as 2.3.5 but in my phone it appears as 2.3.7…. y is it like dat?
ROM chef might updated the ROM download link with newer ROM.
thnx jayce…..I found a new rom on xda…that is a ice cream sandwich rom 4.0.3 by tytung…plz take a look and reply if that rom is working.
Here goes the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
Yes, tytung’s ROM should be working fine.
okk olz do me a favour can you try this rom on your htc hd2 and rply me if the sound and camera are working…coz they are not working in the previous ics of tytung
Hi Aziz, I wish that I can try. But my HTC HD2 is not with me right now…
alright ill see what i can do and ill rply
hey dude i want to change to another rom of 2.3.5….which one is good? i find the MUIU rom good or should i go with cyanogen rom? also if i switch the rom all my apps would be deleted from the previous rom?
Which one is good is depended on your personal usage. Both MIUI and CM ROM are good. Yes, changing ROM does delete all your data and apps. Do backup them with Titanium Backup first.
Hey Jayce, Did You Get Your HTC HD2 back coz 4.0.4 has been developed by xda…plz check out the rom and rply if it works well…
No Aziz.
hi jayce
have been running nexus 2.3.4 gingerbread on my htc hd2 perfectly for around 4 months now but i am now finding that i am running out of memory on the phone.
i have a 32gb card with 1gb allocated for apps and i set the internal memory to 250mb and installed app2sd but i am still down to 23mb internal memory, is the only way around this to delete apps
i wanted the apps to go to sd card but some seem phone apps only
cheers kurt
Hi kurt, you can try Android ROM with A2SD+ feature.
hi jayce
if i put another android rom on my phone do i have to format my memory card and lose the apps i have.
Also is there an android rom with a2sd+ you would recommend.
I am actually running nexus one 2.3.7 gingerbread not 2.3.4 and aside from internal memory issues i am very happy with the phone, now that i have got rid of that awful windows 6.5.
the only thing i miss is sense flip clock
cheers kurt
Yes. You need to create EXT3 partition on SD card.
Get the latest build from XDA website.
https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/02/top-android-2-3-5-gingerbread-nand-android-rom-for-htc-hd2/
sorry jayce replyed in the wrong bit please read below
I think i already have created an EXT 3 on my card (2gb on a 32gb card) but it doesnt seem to be using it even with app2sd installed
the build i have is newer than 2.3.5
i have nexus one 2.3.7 gingerbread
GWK74 (nexus hd2-gingerbread v3.2anand)
i think it was the newest one on there when i set it up
as i said i works brilliantly aside from lack of internal memory
Hi kurt, you need to use Android ROM with A2SD+ support. NexusHD2 does not support A2SD+ natively.
pls can’t download the zip file, can u send it to my mail abkarikari23@yahoo.co.uk. thanks
Sorry Abraham, I don’t have it too. Try to find at XDA Forum. Else use other ROM.
