Package Content & Design
Zorloo Zophia comes well-protected. There are Zophia earphones, Zophia USB-DAC USB-C cable, charging case, 3 pairs of silicon eartips (S & L), USB-C charging cable, USB-C to USB-A adapter and quick start guide in the package.
Outstanding build quality with transparent black 3D print resin chassis. Stylish, compact and light in weight. The Zorloo logo is the multi-function touch button. It is sensitive. And there are red and white LED lights below it. The M size ear tips come pre-installed by the way.
Zophia is loaded with custom 6mm Neodymium dynamic driver. Comes with proprietary 4-pin receptacle wire interface. It is also backward compatible with the standard 0.78mm 2-pin design. IPX4 sweat and water resistant support.
This is the Zophia USB-DAC USB-C cable. 1.3m in length and weight at 13g. My MQA version comes with ESS Sabre 9281ACPRO. Support up to to PCM 768kHz and DSD 22.5MHz. Standard version is loaded with ESS Sabre 9270C. Support up to PCM 384kHz and DSD 5.6MHz. That’s the only difference. The rest is the same.
Fit, Comfort & Isolation
Zophia fits well thanks to unique ergonomic design. Make sure you choose the correct ear tip size too. In addition, it stays securely while exercising and jogging. No worry about dropping it at all. Don’t forget IPX4 sweat and water resistant support.
Comfort wise is great. It’s a pleasure to listen music for long hours with Zophia. Lastly, it has outstanding noise isolation. Yes, it virtually blocks most of the environment noises while music is being playback.
Performance Result
Excellent Bluetooth range for true wireless earphones. Yes, Zorloo Zophia can reach up to 7m with obstacles like walls. The connection is very stable. Furthermore, AAC and aptX have lower latency than the usual SBC codec. Audio and video are virtually in-sync that great for movie, games and so on.
5 hours of playback time on a single charge based on specs. Yes, Zophia has great battery life. Extra 20 hours when combined with the charging case. Besides, you can enjoy crystal clear phone call thanks to the sensitive microphone. Yes, others can hear me loud and clear.
For your information, Zophia supports auto switch. It will connect to your smartphone through Bluetooth once disconnected from USB-DAC cable. And back to wired mode when connected back to the DAC. Cool, right?
Sound Quality
Let’s take about wireless mode first. Slightly bright sound signature is what you get from Zorloo Zophia. Highs are bright and clean. Performs great almost without any harshness. As for mids, vocals sound nice in both male and female. Toward bright side too. As for lows, they are strong with impact. You need to have perfect seal and fit on the ear tips for sure. Soundstage is a bit narrow to my taste. Everything is close to you.
On wired mode through ESS Sabre 9281ACPRO DAC… In short, it is a very powerful DAC. An outstanding detail retriever. Period. Don’t forget that it also supports MQA for better sound especially through online streaming apps like TIDAL. Audio quality surely improved on wired mode. Slightly wider soundstage, that’s great. All the instruments, vocal and background separation are better too. Brighter and might brings some harshness in certain songs.
For your information, Zorloo can upgrade Zophia easily by just swapping to a new earbuds. You can enjoy better and even new sound signature then while retaining the powerful 9281ACPRO DAC. Look forward to that…
