How to fix Samsung TV black strip issue?

Err… How to fix Samsung Series 5 LED TV black strip issue? Besides horizontal black bar, it has green vertical lines too sometimes. That’s the issue that I faced with my 40″ Samsung LED TV UA40D5000. I searched online for solution but failed to find one. Do you know how to solve it? Okay, here are the solutions. If your Samsung TV still in warranty period, sends it back to repair. Else you always buy a new one if you are rich. Or fix it manually by yourself. Yes, I solved it by myself. But no guarantee that this solution will do the same to your TV too. At least you can try if out of warranty.

First of all, you need to open up the back cover. Unscrew lot of screws here. You will see 3 main boards there. My issue is caused the wire that connects between TV panel and brown colour board.

I just applied some plastic tapes to hold the black wire tight. And that fixed the green vertical lines and black bar issues.

Yours might be another loose cable that is causing the problem. So try to reattached all the cables until the issue is solved. If still cannot, your TV panel might have issue then. The only solution is to replace it.

All looking good in the end. Try it now, and you might save your Samsung LCD / LED TV too…
