Google Talk with video and voice chats is the major update on Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 (GRJ22). However, HTC HD2 without front facing camera is limited to voice chats only. Anyway, that does not stop us from upgrading to the latest Android build. Besides, this build is using latest Tytung R10 kernel which support T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling.

Installation guide ~ How to Install CWM NAND Android on HTC HD2? (Video)
Download NexusHD2-Gingerbread v2.7 [Kernel: Tytung r10] NAND ROM here.
can I install this rom with my version of CWM (1.0 version)? Because in xda forum sites it must have to install CWM_Recovery_for_NexusHD2 (135MB system and 2MB cache) to create a space-efficient NAND partition layout designed specifically for NexusHD2 series. And it is highly recommended if coming from another ROM.
As long as you have more than 135MB system partition layout, you are fine.
I installed the rom last night..so far this is the best NAND android rom i’ve ever tried..stable, battery consumption very low, fast and stable connection..Love it!

Jayce, how can you achieve such a high score at Quadrant score? did you overclock your HD2? Is it safe to overclock? what about the battery life after overclock? and last one, what application did you use to overclock you HD2 android?
thanks Jayce..
Nope. I did not overclock. Usually, I ran several tests. And get the average. The first benchmark score is always the lowest. 2nd onward is fine.
Hi Jayce, I have Android 2.2 for quite some time now and wanted to try this version. How do i install this version coming from DFT version. Here is my current setup:
magldr 1.11
dft
PB8100 HX-BC
spl 2.08 HSPL
Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14
DFT_Android
I would appreciate if you could give a step by step procedure. Thanks!
You need to install ClockworkMod Recovery. Then this Android ROM. Just follow the installation guide in the post.
It’s me again, just writing in to say MEGA thanks once again! Just installed this.. and works like a charm (so far over the past 15 minutes!). The best feeling is that of having to set up it up like you’re booting a brand new phone for the first time!
Noticed from XDA that the ROM you reviewed after this one still has some bugs and pending fixes. But do write a post when you find other ROMs like this that work perfectly including FB, wifi tethering, etc.
Good luck and keep up the great work!
I installed this Android Rom on my Htc Hd2 without problem. Before I had WM6.5.
It seemed ok but then I noticed that something is wrong with my battery status.
Before upgrade to Android I had battery full charged 100%. After upgrade and after few hours of charging the status of battery was 63% and stopped there. I was guessing that battery was full but phone was not well calibrated. Then I thought may be my battery is not ok for this ROM – even it worked fine with WM6.5 – and I took new Htc battery BA S400, charged it on external charger (htc dock) to 100% and put it in my Hd2. It says 99% and charging, charging, … still 99%. I stopped charging. After some usage it dropped – let say – to 85%. I started charging again. It was charging – but only to 99% – and charging, charging, … I never saw green light or 100%.
To fix this I deleted /data/system/batterystats.bin and also through CWM reseted battery stats. But nothing changed. My battery is 100% full but my phone thinks it is 99% and continue to charge it.
Any idea?
Thanks, AM
I charged
Is it okay to use ths evryday?
Yes
Dear Jayce, sorry for stupid question.
Does this ROM supports A2SD or such. How can i extend the storage space on this ROM?
Nope. You need to install A2SD+ yourself. https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/01/26/how-to-install-applications-to-sd-card-directly-on-android/

I flashed it back because my android is corrupted and not working properly
Now, please tell me the files that I will use in order to get it back to android
Is this the order that I will follow?

4. TyphooN_CM7_v3.2.1-MAGLDR
5. Recovery_v1.3_150M
or is there any additional file that I will need
Please help
Oh, in this case. It is depended on which Android ROM that you want to install.

I am a novice, pls
You will need these

2. Radio 2.15
3. MAGLDR 1.13
4. ClockworkMod Recovery 1.3 (150MB)
5. ext3 partition on SD card
6. Install Android ROM that you want – https://www.jayceooi.com/2011/05/19/top-android-2-3-4-gingerbread-nand-android-rom-for-htc-hd2/
I installed the Modrecovery before i installed android, is this okay or did i mess up?
