Yeah… We have another team to developer Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for us ~ Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). AOKP supports lot of Android devices like Galaxy Nexus, HTC Sensation, HP Touchpad… Personally, I tested AOKP Android 4.0 ICS ROM on Amazon Kindle Fire. It is using Hashcode 3.0 Kernel which provide better ICS supports (and bring some issues with it too).
Yes, Malaysia Samsung Galaxy S II users no matter using I9100 or I9100G can enjoy latest official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich firmware from now on. For those who do not install custom ROM or other region ICS firmware, it’s time for you to upgrade with Samsung Kies or through OTA update now. Enjoy DXLP9 firmware for I9100 and DXLP6 firmware for I9100G. Personally, I did not try these firmware because I am using custom ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S2. Hopefully, latest Android 4.0.3 ICS DXLP6 Firmware can solve most of the bugs that face by I9100G users. Waiting for official release is too long for a tech blogger like me.
Besides Malaysia, India is getting official Android 4.0 ICS Firmware for I9100 & I9100G too. Same apply to Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 too…

I knew that Android 4.0 ICS will come to Samsung Galaxy S2 sooner or later after Google released Android 4.0 ICS source code. Here you are ~ the alpha version of Android 4.0 ICS AOSP ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2. Since it is alpha version, lot of stuffs is still not working. So don’t expect it as your daily Android OS. But just have a look on the feel of Android 4.0 ICS on Samsung Galaxy S2. And thanks to XDA Developer, Silver420 for creating the video of Android 4.0 ICS running on Samsung Galaxy S2. Oh, no. I am on Fire! Hehe… I just got myself a Kindle Fire from Amazon. Not getting it from Amazon US directly since I want to have Kindle Fire as soon as possible (don’t want to wait for another 2 weeks shipping time). Therefore, I bought it from Lowyat Forum Malaysia locally. Kindle Fire will keep me busy for months because I got lot of stuffs to learn again. Hmm… I planned to get Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Asus Transformer Prime. But both of them are still not available in Malaysia. Have to wait until early next year. So I got a budget Android tablet ~ Kindle Fire instead…
