Load into AD Recovery first. Then use the backup and restore function there. That’s all.

I’ve installed the latest cyanogen mod 7 SD (dual boot) into my HD2 and it’s working great except for the 3G connection where I cannot manage to browse into the net except if I’m using wifi. I’m eager to change the whole OS and use a NAND RAM droid. I’m thinking of this Ultimate Droid 3 for a start. Will I be facing the same 3G connection problem or any other problem?

i just done the backup..but when i open this new rom..all my application is gone..and i do restore..it same to..can u help me jayce..tq..
What software do you use for backup?
i use coredroid dhd….i backup with clockworkmod recovery v1.3..
Clockworkmod recovery backup is like Norton Ghost. It do full system backup and restore. Not for restore apps on new installed ROM.
To backup and restore apps on another ROM, use Titanium Backup software.

No need to extract the zip file. Copy it to SD card and install from there.

how can i update my hd2’s magldr nand bootloader version 1.11 to version 1.13. currently my device is running on android 2.2. and also plz assist me how to install Ultimate Droid 3 NAND RAM Android Zip ROM to htc hd 2 running on android 2.2.
Update MAGLDR v1.13 like you did on v1.11. As for Ultimate Droid 3 installation, please follow the video guide in the post.
ya i installed ultimate droid 3 successfully using clockworkmod recovery 1.2 and magldr 1.11. but in the middle of the process i stuck up with the poor extract of zip file. later i fixed this by wiping data and cache using clockworkmode recovery. from thereon everything goes smoothly.
if i need to install BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA GINGER NAND Android A2SD+ RAM Zip ROM for my HTC HD2, do i need to work with the same process as i did for the ultimate droid 3.

Yes, and you need to have EXT3 partition on your SD card.

No Wi-Fi issue. It works like other Android ROM.

1. This is not A2SD+ build. So no EXT partition is needed. But you need to install through SD card since it is a Zip ROM.
2. It is better as you can install new ROM without a PC. And you can make full system backup and restore with it.
