The very first thing to do when I got my new smartphone – test all hardware functions. Same apply to Xiaomi Redmi 2 that I bought from Mi Malaysia online store. Of course, I cannot run all the tests on the spot like buy it at physical mobile phone store. But it should help for those who do. The test tool is actually Xiaomi engineering test suite in their factory. They will run all these tests and make sure that Xiaomi devices passed all tests before ship to customer. But no harm to run them again by yourself if you wish too.
Yes, the hardware test application is not in Chinese anymore. Most of us should able to understand to use it now. Besides automatic test and single item test, it has the ability to show software and hardware details too. And test report for result after you run tests. Wow… There is lot of hardware tests. Personally, LCD is the first one that I test. I don’t like my devices’ display to have any dead pixel defect. Of course, you can run those tests that you prefer like key, backlight, touch panel, SD card, Bluetooth, SIM card, vibration, speaker, camera, FM radio, GPS, sensors and battery…
