Samsung Galaxy S4 stock recovery provides limited functions when compare to custom recovery like ClockworkMod Recovery – CWM or Team Win Recovery Project – TWRP. It is better than nothing. As for advanced users, you will need to install ClockworkMod Recovery on Galaxy S4 to get more juice out of it. CWM and TWRP give you the ability to backup & restore with Nandroid, install custom ROM, kernel, modification and other more… It is a must installed tool for Galaxy S4 if you like to try out custom ROM.

Oh no, my Google Nexus 4 hangs at during boot after installed custom modification. What should I do? Simple, just restore back to your existing Nandroid backup will do. Of course, you need to have copy of backup Nexus 4 with CWM first in order to do a Nandroid restore. Else you need to find other way to fix your fail boot issue. Restore is as simple as backup.
