Android 2.2 Froyo… My head is full of Android 2.2 Froyo now. Forget about Windows Phone 7 support on HTC HD2. In order to have Android 2.2 Froyo HTC Desire ROM on HTC HD2, we need to flash HardSPL3 on HTC HD2. Then flash newer HTC HD2 Radio ROM with CustomRUU. And install any Android ROM that suite you.

Android is installed at SD card on HTC HD2. The easiest way to access SD card on Android HTC HD2 ~ take SD card out from HTC HD2, then insert into SD card reader. However, that’s not the user friendly way because you need to remove the battery cover. Here is another way by using USB cable. It will mount SD card as a disk drive.
In order to have Android 2.2 Froyo on HTC HD2, we need to flash to newer radio ROM like Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2 that I am using right now. Custom Windows Mobile ROM requires latest radio ROM in order to work too. Same apply to custom Android 2.2 Froyo ROM. CustomRUU for HTC HD2 is the tool that uses to flash the radio ROM. It will perform ‘task 32’ instead of a ‘task 28’ after flashing an .nbh. And it will not format device if just flash a radio or a splash screen.

Tried several different Android 2.2 build from HTC Desire build to Google Nexus One build. None of them are working. Installation failed for unknown reason -18. Finally, I found a solution to fix can’t install application issue on Android HTC HD2.
