After rooting Samsung Galaxy S II, a yellow triangle will show up at the bottom of Samsung Galaxy S2 Logo during boot up. The simplest way to remove yellow triangle on Samsung Galaxy S II ~ use micro USB Jig. However, USB Jig is not a common gadget that you can find in PC shop (I ordered mine from eBay). How to remove yellow triangle on Samsung Galaxy S2 without USB Jig? Check out below step by step video guide to find out. A long way to go but you can remove the sharp looking yellow triangle…
Prerequisites
In short, you need to have stock kernel of the firmware that you are using. Flash it with Odin after you rooted SGS2. The stock kernel will remove the yellow triangle. Then re-flash kernel from CF-Root using CWM Manager. This will bring back ClockworkMod Recovery.
Note – You need a CF-Root that matches your Samsung Galaxy S2 kernel version. And stock kernel that matches your firmware.
Step by Step Guide
Yellow triangle will be removed and you still can access to ClockworkMod Recovery if all the steps are done correctly…
Download Odin3 v1.85 here.
Download CF-Root here.
Download official Samsung Galaxy S2 firmware and stock kernel here.
Dear Jayce
i did exactly how you wrote to delete the yellow triangle. But it’s still there when starting up my S2. I even did it several times but still the yellow triangle. Do you have an idea what went wrong? I’ve choosen the right Kernel and CF Root (XW _XEU_KE-2 Version) for my device and did exactly how you explained in your video…Can you help me?
Thanks a lot for a answer.
Greetings Daniel
Which stock kernel did you use? Link to it please. Thanks.
hello jayce… i have really bad problem with rooting my sgs2 gt-19100g.. after finishing root my phone, yellow triangle show up at the start up screen.. but to make it worst,my phone does not start at all!!.. it just stay like that… nothing happened.. plezz help me.. now i dun have any phone to use.. can give me your contact number.. i really2 need your help.. anything email me.. azim18_miza@yahoo.com
Please refer to this guide – http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2068824
Dear Jayce…
I’ve learn lot from ur site… I’m using XXKG6 as seen here http://www.theandroidsoul.com/downloadinstall-xxkg6-leaked-official-firmware-for-galaxy-s-2-i9100-update/
link for kernel are there… but when I download it, it just like ur video, but it not just “.tar”, it “.tar.md5″… the kernel name is “KERNEL_I9100XXKG6_CL425236_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5″
is that okay to use it with Odin, as u write?
thank, Jayce….
No problem to flash .tar.md5 file format. Odin supports it.
You cannot flash an md5 file. MD5 is a hash of the original tar archive and it is completely separate from the original file.
Hi Jayce.
thanks for the help I am familiar with how to install any ROM in matter of fact have tried all ROMs
so basically I am leveled up in that
back to the point I did everything and it was ok same kernel+CF root for my GS2 anyway once It start to boot it keeps booting like forever whats the deal with it
Try to wipe data and cache with CWM. If still cannot, follow this – http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/12/how-to-solve-boot-loop-issue-on-samsung-galaxy-s2/
Hi Jayce,
got the XWKE2 Kernel on my S2 and used the kernel version suggeested (XW-XEU-KE_2)…
If XWKE2 is not working for you, maybe you can try to upgrade to latest firmware.
i’ve just tried a later firmware and -man you were right! – everything works fine and WITHOUT THE YELLOW TRIANGLE when starting up the system
Thanxxx a lot!
Hi there, I followed your all your steps and the yellow triangle does dissapear but when I got back into android both CWM manager and and superuser are gone. Any ideas? Thanks
Are you using the correct kernel files?
I just read your comment. Thanks for the quick reply. I decided that having the yellow triangle didn’t bother me that much as it’s only cosmetic. I’ve now updated my galaxy s 2 to android 2.3.4 and installed villianROM 2.4.2 onto it. That said it would still be nice to get rid of the yellow triangle. Can I still do this with android 2.3.4 installed and also villianrom or would another method be needed? Is it still possible to do it using the usb jig if I purchased one? By using the method in your video or the usb jig would I have to reinstall villianrom after? Thanks for all your videos and help!
Not sure this method will work after installed villianROM. But USB Jig always does the trick no matter what firmware you have.
Yeah I’ve just purchased a usb jigg off Ebay so will save some hassle and do it that way. Once again thanks for all your help and your website, very appreciated!
Hi joy, i rooted my galaxy s2 15 days ago. in start angry birds works fine, but now it lost its graphics. Can u suggest any way that it can work perfectly again. thanks in advance joy.
What did you do until Angry Birds graphics got issue? Rooting won’t cause this issue. You can always restore back to previous backup or install back stock firmware.
Thanks for reply jayce. so jayce whats the way to restore back to previous back up or to install back stock firmware. one more qns can we update it to 2.3.4 after rooting.
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/14/how-to-restore-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-video/
Yes, you can install custom firmware to upgrade after rooting.
Hi guys! just found out that on ke2 after you have rooted you have to flash Clockwork mod in cwm to make it work.:)
Here is the filename btw GT-I9100_ClockworkMod-Recovery_4.0.1.4
Boss you are a real HERO….i did exactly what was mentioned in your article and it went perfectly right. NO yellow triangle and still CWM manager and SuperUser available to me.
Jaycee you rocks !!!
hi jayce..
what is the latest firmware now and how to install it for my sgs2..
thank a lots
Use Samsung Kies to upgrade to the latest firmware for your country.
Does this also reset the flash counter?
…I obviously mean the *custom* flash counter
No, you need to use USB Jig for that.
Ouch, feared as much. Thanks
Followed your instructions to the letter but now triangle is gone and so is clockworkmod function. I mean its available when I’m running the phone and so is root but when I want to backup ROM with clockworkmod and it reboots, it stops saying: unable to verify and cant take ROM backup. Any ideas why this is happening ?
Did you install back CF-Root zImage?
Hi,
I want to try and lose the triangle but I dont know which CF root should I use.
My kernel is 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKDD-CL161513 root@dell 103 #2 and I cant find it on the list. Which one should I use???
How did you get the yellow triangle in the first place?
I bought it second hand and it was there. I want to get it off and unroot but im confused because there is 3 diferent codes
Baseband: I9100XXKE7
Kernel ver: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKDD-CL161513 root@dell 103 #2
Build num:Gingerbread.XWKF3
Please HELP!!!
2 options for you.
1. Easiest way – use USB Jig.
2. Upgrade to firmware that support CF-Root. Eg, XXKI3.
OK
1. dont have access to jig (maybe if I build one myself)
2. would KI3 work??? Is it among the latest versions?
Sorry I didnt mention I am noob
This is my first smartphone so…
I did not test to remove XXKI3 through this method personally. But it should work.
Yes, XXKI3 is the latest firmware for the moment.
Ok, thanks anyway.
I will try it tomorow since it is 5 am over here
Sorry again for so many questions, like I said, Im new to all of this and I dont want to screw something up
Thanx a lot.
BTW If I return to stock like you did here http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/14/how-to-restore-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-video/
will that unroot my phone??? Because of warranty
Yes, installing stock firmware will unroot it.
Hi, I just did everything in the list except from 18. down because I dont have CWM!? I have SU icon in apps but when I start it, there is no apps on the list.
What now???
Hmm… Look like CF-Root v4.2 has issue. Try to use v4.1 see – http://file.jayceooi.com/2011/08/CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KI3-v4.1-CWM4.zip
I dont think that will work, because I never had CWM, and cf-root is activated in step 19-20 (but I cant get there because I dont have CWM
)!
Anyway, my goal is to go back to stock/unroot. Can I start unrooting (http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/14/how-to-restore-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-video/) without these final steps 18-20???
Sure.
hi,
i also want to restore my stock kernel firmware and i purchased my phone in india.
will your stock kernel work in an indian phone
Find it at XDA. If there is a match to your firmware, then okay.
thanks
i will try to find it out on xda but in case i don’t find it shall i try the firmware you referred to.
plz suggest me.
Dear Jayce,
I did exactly how you wrote to delete the yellow triangle and works very well on my Galaxy. Now I no longer have yellow triangle and I have root on my phone . Thank you very much Jayce.
Hey Jayce, i have the same issue but i have the i777 model…my screen says i9100 and there is a yellow triangle warning. Will this method work for that model? if not how would i get rid of it? Thanks in advance for helping! If possible please email me…
No, don’t use any firmware / kernel for I9100. Use only those for I777. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1304
thanks for the reply because it means alot to me! i should tell u my situation… Starting off i am a total noob when it comes to rooting…. so i followed a guide to root a galaxy s 2 but the i9100 model….so i rooted it and then i realized that i did the wrong model since the touch buttons werent working and ll…so i looked for a i777 model and i followed that tut and rooted with the Clockworkmod and after i was done rooting evrything is fine….but the splash screen is still i9100 and yellow triangle and now i am also reading that u have to flash the roms back http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1294574 like mentioned in there….but i dont know what to do now i just want my device to be a normally rooted device with everything working like before….Please consider my noobyness and point me twords a step-bystep guide because i have already tried researching alot and i dont understand this stuff…. hank you for helping me so much.
Try to ask others at XDA. I don’t have AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II so can’t help much as I can’t test it. Sorry…
well thanks anyways….
Hello Jayce,
Hey thank you for this excellent tutorial. It worked perfectly! And with the latest XWKI8 2.3.5 ROM too. A++
Hi Sifu,
Im very very new to android and headache now. I’ve done all accordingly to your step, however i couldnt do from step 18 to 20. Is it harmful if i dont flash? The reason why is, the one you show in the video you are using the CWM manager and it seems like its a new version now which is ROM manager and couldnt find any Flash Kernel option. help to get a reply from u sifu!
Thanks a lot
Why you start the process when you don’t have CF-Root as one of the prerequisites? ROM Manager has nothing to do here.
Hi. Mine is KI1 and unfortunately i couldnt find the model. somemore my kernel version is 2.6.35.7 se.infra@SEI-22 which i am not sure whether mine is XW, XX or etc. Anyways, the yellow triangle is gone, wanna know whether could it harm my phone or not. thanks
No harm, just you don’t have CWM after flashed stock kernel.
Hi Jayce!
I have a problem with the stock kernel tar. file. My kernel is the xwke2 but when i try to zip them i get a zimage file and not a .tar file? I’ve tried different xdke2 nordic/uk and the stock which requires password to extract but all of them have been zimage. Odin does not recognise them att all. What am im doing wrong? I’ve tried with 7zip, winrar and winzip.
I tested I9100XWKE2_Kernel.zip with 7-Zip. I have no issue to extract I9100XWKE2_Kernel.TAR after keyed in password.
Hello
Whats the password you used to unzip your kernel file? as i am having massive problems. No password will work.
Hellllp pleeease.
Password is at XDA website. The place where you download kernel.
Rooted and removed the yellow triangle:-) thanks man!
So, what else do I need to do/download to complete this superuser experience?
Superuser experience?
Yes, things like titanium backup? And, do I need ROM manager? I means ask the necessary application. Sorry, all of this its very new to me:-)
ROM Manager is not needed. Titanium Backup is good to have. Just browse through – http://www.jayceooi.com/tag/android/ And find the one that suite your need.
Ok. Appreciate the prompt reply:-)
Yes. applications like titanium backup, rom manager? I mean what are the essential applications that root user will need? Sorry if I’m asking a lot. I’m new to this…
Sorry, double post:-) it didn’t load the first time just now. Feel free to delete. Thanks man. Cheers!
What is the kernel password? Help
It is at XDA website where you download it.
Download? I mean the password to extract the kernel.7z. I can’t find.
Where did you download the kernel?
Oh YES.. I found it!
Thank you Jayce.
Hi Jayce !
it will also remove the cwm counter ? I mean it will put it into (0) zero ?
No, you need USB Jig to remove the reset custom binary download counter.
I have a USB Jig – if anyone in the Wigan area (J26, M6) brings their phone, they can make use of it to get rid of the yellow triangle.
David
Hi Jayce,
I need your help on something. Do you know any good thread about rooting the galaxy tab P1000? I found this thread for the CF-Root but I am wondering will there be the yellow triangle thing after rooting? Because I cannot find the stock kernel for P1000DXJPE so far…
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=885734
Thanks in advance.
Sorry, I did not study about Galaxy Tab at all because I don’t have one. So don’t know…
Ok. Understood. I’ll keep on searching…hehe. Cheers.
Hi Jayce,
I want to upgrade my firmware with KIES(KE2 to KI4). I did a back up with KIES, do I need to do any back up? I mean all the photos, videos, contacts are in the back up but what about the games, apps etc?
Backup as much as you can. Use Titanium Backup if your phone is rooted.
Another questions:
1. Which is better Titanium Backup or CWM Recovery?
2. If I root my sgs II with odin as in your guide and then upgrade my firmware with KIES will there be any problem ?
Sorry i forgot
If i unroot my rooted phone there will be no problem about warranty, right?
You need to clear custom binary download counter too.
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/14/how-to-restore-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-video/
So I must have an USB Jig. Is it possible to restore stock firmware without Jig? Or what if I root my phone and then later just remove the yellow triangle as in your guide? Is it ok for warranty?
Yes, you can restore back to stock firmware without USB Jig. But the custom binary download counter is still there. So warranty still void.
1. Both are different. So can’t compare like that. TB is useful when upgrade ROM. CWM is full system backup. I use them both.
2. No.
Last question:
If a upgrade firmware with KIES will game data, app etc. lost?
Normally, upgrade firmware with Samsung Kies won’t delete your data.
hi,
jayce
will you please advice me which c-f root and stock kernal should i use to remove the yellow triangle from my samsung galaxy s2.the kernel version of my phone is 2.6.35.7-I9100xwkdd-cl161513.thank you
XWKDD is an old firmware. CF-Root does not support it. Try to upgrade to latest firmware that support CF-Root. Eg, XXKI4.
Hi jayce,
Erm Do you how to unroot my samsung galaxy s2? PLease help i really don know what to do.
i alr rooted my phone
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/14/how-to-restore-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-video/
Hi Jayce,
I bought a Galaxy S2 HD in korea and bring it here in Philippines. unfortunately I did something wrong while flashing the unit. we in turn it on it always goes to ODIN Mode (phone– ! — computer). Is it bricked? any recommedations to repair the phone? thanks
Should be semi brick since you still can load Odin download mode. Try to install stock firmware back if you have.
the problem is I dont have the stock firmware and I forgot which stock firmware to use. the model of the unit is SHV-E120S….can I use any stock firmware of Galaxy S2 I9100?
No, I don’t think so.
hi
i saw your video
but can you help me how complete remove the cwm manager and superuser from my phone i tried factory data reset but it is not going please help
This is the one that you need – http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/14/how-to-restore-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-video/
Hi Jayce,
My kernel version is 2.6.35.7 hardcore@speedmod-s2-k1-t26. Which CF Root should I use?
Thanks!
Get USB Jig instead for custom kernel like SpeedMod. Install CF-Root kernel will remove SpeedMod kernel.
my kernel version is :
2.6,35.7
se.infra@SEI-22#2
baseband version :
I9100GDZKI1
which CF-ROOT and kernel version should i download ? pls , i want to remove the yellow triangle thing . it distracting me .
Your SGS2 is G version. Can’t use any kernel / firmware developed for I9100 non G version. Sorry…
This procedure really works! am very thankful for the infos.:)
my only problem the battery drains fast while am on litening rom 6.1
I am using CheckROM RevolutionHD ROM. Quite good.
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/10/21/download-checkrom-revolutionhd-xxki4-rom-for-samsung-galaxy-s2-cwm/
thanks jayce for the suggestion, i’ll try it soon. after getting familiar with the procedures. LOL.. am new to this.
best regards
hello sir….i’m confused….i have a few questions….i have a GT-i9100 and i managed to install a custom ROM,lite’ning rom 6.1 and my phone is rooted, i believe….
1. my baseband is I9100XXKH3…my kernel version is 2.6.35.11-ninphetamine-2.0.5+ninpo@titan #20…what kernel and CF-Rot must i download to remove the yellow triangle?
2. i did download the XXKH3 stock kernel and CF-Root(provided if its the correct one i need),the re was no .tar file in the CF-Root winrar file…there was another winrar file that will extract to a zImage file….
please advise sir….thank you for your time…
1. Use USB Jig. Else CF-Root kernel will replace ninphetamine kernel.
2. Use 7-Zip to extract.
i see….erm, while waiting for your reply,i actually already flashed the stock kernel…it worked, the yellow triangle is gone…but i noticed that my custom boot animation was replaced with the original boot animation…and im still running on lite’ning rom…other than that, all my apps are still there and nothing has been changed…does this mean that my phone is still rooted?are there any downfalls if i just leave my phone as such?
Not sure. Just try to use application that require root access to find out. Something like Titanium Backup.
yeap….its working fine…now i guess,i just have have to re-do my custom animation…thnx for the advise…
I don’t have CWM..what should I do?
DXKI2
Install CF-Root.
Erm, I mean after install CF-Root I can’t find my CWM..
I installed this “CE_XEN_KI2″
Did you install CF-Root successfully? You should see CWM Manger and Superuser apps. And CWM – http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/03/samsung-galaxy-s2-clockworkmod-recovery-mode/
I just saw Superuser..=(
WAIT! I saw my CWM! =D
I reinistall the CF-Root..=)
So can I overclock after I remove the yellow triangle?
No, CF-Root kernel does not support CPU overclocking.
Oh..okay..=(
Btw, thanks! =D
hello again jayce..
i need yr help to remove the yellow triangle.
HP:SGS2
MODEL:GT-I9100
ANDROID VERSION:2.3.5
BASEBAND VERSION:I9100 XXKI4
KERNAL VERSION:2.6.35.7-I9100XWKJ3-CL647431 root@DELL82#2
BUILD NUMBER:CheckROM Revolution v1.0
Q1:What is the correct cf-root and correct stock kernal for it?
Q2:As u notice that i am using custom rom so can i just follow the guideline prepared by u jayce?
1. XWKJ3
2. Yes, as long as you want to use CF-Root kernel.
Thanks for the reply jayce…
As u know that when using CheckRom Revolution HD v1.0 we can easily change the kernal through kitchen pro so will the triangle come again when i use different kernal from kitchen pro?
No, yellow triangle only come out when you install custom firmware / kernel with Odin. Installation with CWM will not.
ok jayce.. will try it.tq.. i will keep in touch with u..
mission completed jayce.. no more triangle sign.. by the way from your opinion do you know what is the best rom for sgs1?i need to do some make over to my friend sgs1..
Don’t have SGS1. No idea.
Ok jayce.. thanks anyway..
Hi Jayce…I’m using a Samsung SGH-I777 (AT&T Galaxy SII)…My phone got wet and it still works fine except that the speaker and microphone no longer work. I want to return it but I am currently running custom firmware. How can I reset it to stock and remove the yellow triangle without a jig before returning it?
My current settings:
Model number:
SGH-I777

I777UCKH7
Kernal Version:
2.6.35.7-00008-gd59dc39
adodd@quadmonkey #205
Build Number:
UnNamed v1.0.4
Thanks in advance!!!
Sorry, I don’t have SGH-I777 SGS2. Not so sure. But as for I9100 SGS2, USB Jig is required to reset custom binary download counter.
hi jayce ,
im using lite ning rom n i hv install speedmod kernal , but how to remove the yellow triangle?
Use USB Jig for custom kernel like SpeedMod. Else CF-Root kernel will replace it if you follow this method.
Hello Jayce,
I want to root my phone,my firmware DXKI2 so to root it i must use CF ROOT CEKI2 because it was the nearest one,so to remove the yellow triangle which stock kernel i should use, DXKI2 or CEKI2?
Either one is okay. Because it will replace by CF-Root kernel in the end.
how can i get all the advanced power options like you have in your video ??
the reboot , recovery mode ??
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/09/30/download-jkay-deluxe-theme-for-samsung-galaxy-s2/

http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/12/23/how-to-install-old-bootloader-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-to-enable-usb-jig/
Worked like a dream, thank you
Have you ever heard about Mobile Odin? It is available from Android Marketplace. Buy the Pro version. Worth the effort. I recently have this Yellow Triangle problem after using CF-Root. Then I used this Mobile Odin Pro [before that U need to root first. Try using Superuser OneClick. Much safer to root your Galaxy S2]. First flash your stock kernel [mine is DXKL3]. Then after your phone reboot, the yellow triangle gone for good. Flash again the kernel but this time select . This is for you to be able to use back your ClockworkMod Recovery. Any queries can sms me @ +6584981907. Thank you.
Hi Roslan, I just rooted my phone and i am having the yellow triangle problem now. Do you still have a copy of the DXKL3 stock kernel? all links on the internet seems to be dead =(
If you do, please send it to my email @ chunkiat10 at hotmail
thanks alot!!
Hi, i upgraded my firmware through odin from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5 . I want to revert back to 2.3.3 so that i can update through kies. Im from singapore, can anyone give me some help im really really lost on how can i revert back to the old stock rom. thanks. your help is appreciated
Why not upgrade to 2.3.6 with Odin directly?
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/14/how-to-restore-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-video/
but where can i download 2.3.6 firmware?
another question: Since i will update 2.3.6 through ODin, which is the latest firmware in KIES for singapore, then if there is another update can i use KIES the next time?
I downloaded already thnaks for the links!, just another question what will i do with the stock kernel there? should i download it also and install? or the firmware itself is enuf?
Firmware will do.
hi jayce, i’m using siyah kernel (cutom kernel) on my hd revol. is there any possibilities to remove the yellow triangle logo at the beginning without changing from custom kernel (siyah kernel) to stock kernel…please advice
note: base on your instruction you need to flash the stock kernel using odin which will change the custom kernel
thanks…
don
Use USB Jig.
I tried downloading the stock rom for DXKL3 but I am unable to extract. It claims to be corrupted and the files extracted is of 0 bytes.
Download it again.
PLEASE HELP!!!!! my powerfull windows 7 pc cannot open odin3 v1.85!!! (it opens for 2 ms and i can manage to check that the upper left box is yellow, however as i said i cannot proceed with the further instructions! HELPPP
Try on other PC see.
I’m afraid this method is not working with ICS build, i’ve tried several times with every leaked firmware but that yellow triangle still annoying me. Hope you can find a new method.
Cheers
Use USB Jig, Zeus.
Hi Jay. My phone is SGS2 and my kernel version is DXKL3. I installed CWM in my phone. My problem is the Yellow Triangle. I tried to install the original kernel (as per your instruction) and yes the yellow triangle has been removed. But, the CWM was gone. My question is, how can i remove the yellow triangle but the CWM is still there? Can you pls help me?
You need to install CF-Root kernel zImage back as per the guide.
any bros can share the DXKL3 Kernel, Rooted with the triangle and multiupload is forced shut by FBI, IntraTech is not replying PM, Pls help someone
Hi, so all i need to do is get it back to its original setting. im kind of a noob so any help would be nice. what do i need to use???

tyronedallas@gmail.com
Original firmware? For settings, just factory reset it.
Mind sharing DXKL3 Stock Kernel? Multiupload is down
Hey Jayce
i need to restore to the stock firmware and kernel and send my phone to the samsung service centre coz i have the unknown imei problem. i have the uxb jig and have downloaded the xwkl1 firmware and kernel from xda but i read somewhere that with the new bootloader the usb jig doesnt work completely i.e. it cant erase the custom binary count and cant remove the yellow triangle. The link for the old bootloader on intratech’s thread on xda isnt working! plz temme what should i do???
Try to Google for another website to download old bootloader. You need that in order to use USB Jig.
i got the old bootloader (via intratech’s thread on xda, the link is up again). i have read that flashing wrong bootloader is a sure way of bricking the phone…
i have a cf-rooted gs2 (GT-I9100) running android 2.3.6 (xwkl1) firmware..
is it safe to flash the old bootloader so that i can use the usb jig? and can i flash the new bootloader again after using the usb jig?
Yes, I am still using old bootloader on Android 2.3.6 now. No point to install new bootloader because it does not have any special feature except disable the usage of USB jig.
Thanks for the replies man! your site clarifies a lotta things! keep up the good work!!
i can’t download that stock kernel for xxki3..do u have another link that i can use to download the stock kernel…maybe hotfile or mediafire?
Sorry, I don’t have other download link.
